Our Founder

Bruce Hilbert was born and raised in southern New Hampshire. His love of the outdoors brought him experimenting with cooking maple sap, an extensive process many people use in New England to produce maple syrup.

Our philosophy

New England Maple Products believes strongly in living a healthier lifestyle. Our goal is to remove cane sugar from the diet.

Our maple products are made from the xylem sap, from maple trees. In cold climates, maple trees store starch in their trunks and roots before winter. The starch is then converted to sugar that rises in the sap in late winter and early spring. Maple trees are tapped by drilling holes into their trunks and collecting the exuded sap, which is processed by evaporating the water out of the sap until the sugar content reaches 66-67 % Brix.
